Nicaragua Hope is a website dedicated to raising the global awareness of the social, economic, and religious issues of the country, through current affairs, stories, and other media. Nicaragua Hope is also a place to help connect like-minded organizations, build relationships, and help raise funds for important projects in Nicaragua.
Nicaragua Hope is non-profit, but is not officially registered as such. It is a site administered by Jonathan Hung and money generated through ad-revenue and donations will be properly disclosed and donated to various aid projects in Nicaragua.
About Jonathan Hung
Jonathan Hung is a software researcher in Toronto, Canada. In March 2007, he participated in his first mission to Bluefields, Nicaragua where he witnessed the plight of the locals there, in particular the children. Upon returning to Canada, Jonathan immediately established Nicaragua Hope as a way to help Nicaraguans between missions.
In 2008, Jonathan organized and lead a team from Toronto to Bluefields for a 2 week mission. That mission focused on construction of new classrooms at Verbo school, educational outreach, and administering to the locals in need.
Jonathan is happily married, and is a proud father.
