Day 2 - Ed and Ligia’s first morning in Toronto.

After receiving morning hugs from little MacKenna, I introduced them to Tim Hortons (a well respected Canadian hockey and coffee icon). They loved the coffee….Ligia came from a family owned coffee plantation, thus it was good to see them happy.
Then we drove to Jon’s place to repair the laptop….mission accomplished (for the short term). [It turns out I didn't have to do very much - connecting a monitor to the VGA port got it working. - Jon]
We then made our way to Forsyth Farms Kennedy /north of Major Mackenzie where we took some pics with the seasonal veg (pumpkins, gourds, fall harvest plants). As we entered the store Ligia’s lit up when she saw the wall’s of preserved jelly’s, freshly baked pies, cookies and various farmers market goodies. [One of my fond culinary memories of Bluefields are the incredible Guava preserves. - Jon]
The store was decorated in a Halloween theme, they got a kick out of carved pumpkins.
We then made our way to Main Street Unionville (drive by, since it was drizzling). They loved how every store matched, flowers were still in bloom, and the store lights were turned on.
After we had a bit to eat, we ventured in and out of a few stores…they were in awe with how clean it was, the over abundance of everything (they don’t shop or have access to all the items in Nicaragua). I toned it down and took them to a “Buck or Two”… they loved the price points and marveled at the wide selection but alas, Kath [Rob's wife. - Jon] showed up and make note that we should instead go to Dollarama….where everything was $1.
We did make a pit stop at Bulk Barn…
At Dollarama: Ligia shopped for the teachers and the staff at Verbo (don’t think she bought one item for her self). Pastor Ed just wandered the isles locking at the wider selection of items.
They want to go back there SOON!.
We then came home to relax from 4-5:00pm, then it was off to dinner.
