Discover the Maypole Festival in Bluefields

It’s now May, and that means it’s time for the Maypole Festival in Bluefields. The tradition comes from a good old latino Carnival as well as Caribbean jamming and dancing. The celebrations highlight Bluefield’s wide ethnic diversity.
While I have never been in Bluefields during this time, from what I can see it looks like an incredible celebration - dancers, costumes, music, and food. It really looks like a different place than the town I’ve visited.
I don’t know if there is actually a maypole with ribbons in Bluefields, but it really doesn’t matter now does it?
I think I have a new destination in my May travel plans in the future.
