Nicaragua Hope’s first fund raising project
Apr 5th, 2007 by Jon Posted in Fund raising, What's Going On | No Comments
The Nicaragua Team is proud to announce our first fundraising project for Nicaragua Hope! At the Verbo Christian School, only 117 of the 420 students are able to afford to go to school, the rest are subsidized or sponsored by Verbo. Many of these students live in extreme conditions in the Dump or at the Rock Quarry.
It’s heart breaking to see them picking through garbage to survive, but it’s also encouraging to see them in school thanks to the generous support from Verbo and Samaritan’s Purse (who donates 50% of the school’s operating budget).

We’ve been to the school. We’ve seen the tin shacks they live in. It’s time we gave a hand.
Our objective is to raise $250 USD - enough money to send a needy child in Bluefields to school.
There are a few ways you can help:
- Visit Nicaragua Hope often and help by clicking on an ad when you do! So far we have raised $10.52 through advertising on this site and on nuosis.net. That’s amazing for a few clicks!
- Donate money directly. Please see these instructions on how to donate.
- Tell your friends and family about Nicaragua Hope and this fund raiser!
We thank you for your generous support and we look forward to seeing a brighter future for the children of Bluefields.
