Pastor Ed and Ligia Jaentschke coming to Toronto!

Cornerstone Christian Community Church is proud to share that Pastor Ed Jaentschke and his wife Ligia of Verbo Ministries in Bluefields, Nicaragua, will be visiting Toronto from October 7 to 22. They will be participating in church and missions meetings, helping plan the next trip in March, and of course site seeing, relaxing, and enjoying some great local food.
For me, the most anticipated events are two sermons by Pastor Ed to be given on October 12 and October 19th. For many people at my church, this will be the first time they will meet the Jaentschke’s and hear their testimony - it will be as close as they are going to get to Bluefields without actually having to go. I pray that people will see:
- two ordinary people are making a difference by stepping out in faith.
- comfort and security in plans is not necessary to do God’s work. God will provide.
- that comfort zones keep us from realizing God’s plan in each of us.
- extraordinary things are possible through God - we just need to trust in him.
- passive Christianity is not the faith Jesus wanted for us - we must be the salt and the light of the world which can only be accomplished through action and service.
Their visit marks the culmination of 2 years of praying, wishing, and planning - the moment is nearly here. Though I will not be able to return to Bluefields in 2009, having Pastor Ed and Ligia visit will help keep my fire burning - as it will be for others.

Jon-this is wonderful! Are they staying with you and your family? It’s nice you can see them, and as you say, keep the fire burning. do you know if they are ever in Granada? I would love to meet them, if so, and will look them up when I am out their way…not sure when that would be though.

Hi Kathy!
I don’t think they’re in Granada often - it’s already a stretch for them to fly from Bluefields to the Pacific coast. So the fact they made it to Toronto is really a huge blessing to us all. Things really came together!
It won’t be hard to find them in Bluefields… just ask any of the locals where to find the Verbo church or school.
If you ever do make it out to Bluefields…. let me know months in advance! :))
