“Rich countries owe poor countries an environmental debt”

I saw this article earlier and I thought it was interesting as the very idea crossed my mind back in October. The article states that richer countries, in part, have been to blame for the increasing environmental problems in developing nations. Basically, the study shows that richer countries do more damage to poor countries, than poor countries do to the rich.
Now back to my first sentence… why October? That’s when Hurricane Felix ravaged the Atlantic coast of Nicaragua destroying much of the coast. Intense monster hurricanes like Felix are caused by the drastic climate change observed in the past 20 years… and if you connect the dots with the article, the rich countries are to “blame” for Felix’s devastation.
While people in North America, like me, only feel mild effects of climate change, the poorest of the world (notably Africa, and Latin / Central America) feel the brunt of it.
If rich countries owe the poor countries an environmental debt, then I hope countries like mine start putting in their deposits.

Debt consolidation appears to be known as a realistic strategic option for people dealing with unsecured debt. I have been tracking the debt settlement very closely and it is more and more difficult to to define what is delivered for the money. I am aware that there are a large group of debt settlement providers available in the market that provide fantastic services and the customers really get great benefit, but I also know there are a large group of debt settlement companies in the market that are focused on collecting new customer fees and enrolling new subscribers. I am sure this is why we are seeing brand new government regulation covering the credit card debt settlement industry. My mother worked with a debt consolidation operation and was very very very content with the overall outcome.
